Temporary Works Design

TEMPORARY WORKS DESIGN

Drawing on Enable Design’s (formerly known as Equate Design) extensive experience of working closely with principal contractors, our in-house temporary works designers and structural engineers ensure that temporary construction works and design are considered at every stage, from inception to completion of a construction project. We offer a wide range of services in the field of temporary works design.

Just like our clients, we want the whole construction process to run as smoothly as possible, and we have long found that early identification of temporary works is key to achieving this. By identifying necessary temporary works early, we can deliver them in the safest, most cost-effective and most practicable way possible.

Enable Design works in accordance with BS 5975:2019 Code of practice for temporary works design procedures and the permissible stress design of falsework, including on-site support provided by our Temporary Works Coordinators (TWC), in addition to design deliverables.

Examples of our temporary works design include:

  • Excavation support
  • Formwork and falsework design
  • Scaffolding design
  • Crane pads / Piling platform design
  • Haul road and temporary bridges design
  • Temporary car park design
  • Welfare compound design
